The Spring / Summer 2019 collection of LOVAT&GREEN scarves, is inspired by the most suggestive destinations, where magical corners have been found. Places which have been visited by Isabel Calonge and Carlos Castillo (Co-founders and Creative directors) in their business trips and personal travels. All of them have been a source of inspiration for the development of this collection and also of future collections: Menorca (Spain), Marrakech (Morocco), Baleal (Portugal), Copenhaguen (Denmark), Bali and Ubud (Indonesia), Miami (USA)… Every scarf has its history and moment.
The sea is very important in Spring / Summer; it becomes a necessary and essential habitat. This time the sea has again a major role in the choice of our photo shoot location.
The chosen location for the production was the Real Club Náutico de Laredo (Cantabria, Spain), a fishing village in one of the most spectacular bays of the Cantabrian Sea.
A club that has become one of the most relevant nautical locations in Spain, both for its location and its facilities. It was King Juan Carlos I himself who in 1995 awarded it the title of “Real”.
The club is in El Puntal, facing the also fishing town of Santoña, dominating the mouth of the River Asón and overlooking the Marshes and the Bay of Santoña.
El Puntal is so called due to its pointed shape. It is the closure of La Salvé beach at one end and El Regatón beach, on the other.
A dune beach that shelters a landscape with a high ecological value as closure of the Las Marismas de Santoña, Noja and Joyel Natural Park.
It is a privileged beach for the practice of nautical sports such as light sailing, wind-surfing and kite-surfing.
The Real Club Náutico de Laredo has modern facilities, Nautic School and sailing and cruising fleets.
Located in a privileged enclave, this beach has had the European Blue Flag since 1987.
The production team was made up by the photographer Antón Goiri @antongoiri and his helper Carlos Givaja, the stylist Kim Bodenski @kimbodenski, the make up artist Natalia De Cantelmi @nataliadecantelmi and the models Margarita Gambles @margaretgambles and Bas Tijhof @bas.tijhof.
