Sometimes the location of a photo shoot is so spectacular, that the making of the campaign is as much a pleasure to do as its success is guaranteed. That has been the case of the LOVAT&GREEN 2018 SPRING/SUMMER collection. The chosen place was the Flysch walking trail in Zumaia (Spain); 13 Km of breath-taking cliffs, located on Guipúzcoa’s western coast. The awe inspiring route counts upon millions of years of geological history, responsible for creating the famously beautiful “Flysch” phenomena caused by the sea’s erosion of the regions limestone and marl rocks.
For the photographic production LOVAT&GREEN, once again, put their trust in the photographer Antón Goiri @antongoiri, the models, Marlena Szoka @marlenaszoka and Diego Moncada @diegomoncada_, the styling of Ana Floubet @anafloubet and the hair and make-up of Natalia De Cantelmi @decantelmi. A fantastic team, who together achieved an amazing result.
Olga Castillo @coco_rosca, who was in charge of recording the “making of” images, did a magnificent job of capturing the most interesting moments of the shoot.
In short, a graphic campaign which matches the heights of a wonderful collection of scarves, sarongs and bandanas, made with summer materials of exceptional quality such as cotton and linen. The geometric lines, the ethnic designs and the colourfulness of this collection transports us on this occasion to the African Savannah.
It was both a complicated and exciting day of work. It began with an early rise to take advantage of the sunrise and low tide whilst we navigated the slippery and sharp ground wearing our trusty rubber soled water shoes . The result was more than worth it, you can check it out here. To reach the cliffs we walked for 20 minutes along a seldom trodden path, enjoying the wonderful landscape whilst isolated from the rest of the world. A unique morning that we will always remember!
This special location has recently taken a starring role in the seventh season of the series “Game of Thrones”. Both the stunning Itzurun beach and the dramatic San Juan de Gaztelugatxe church featured heavily. The directors delighted in using the winding staircase of Gaztelugatxe to record the ascent to the castle of “Dragonstone”, whilst Itzurun’s unique orography provided the magic and beauty they were looking for to illustrate the Targaryen’s home.
And here we leave you some images of the result.
